PRECISION PAPER COATINGS (Villawood)
Chris Scheffer, Managing Director of Precision Paper Coatings (PPC) contacted Lidoran Roofing earlier this year in April, concerning the replacement of the asbestos roof and wall cladding of their main production plant in Villawood. PPC were carrying out a major refurbishment of the 6,300m2 factory and wanted to include these roofing and cladding works at the same time. Time was of the essence and all works needed to be completed before June 30th.
Due to the factory having to be shut down in order to carryout the works, Lidoran Roofing were given a slim 9 day window to carry out the project.
So critical were these works to be done within this time, the client stipulated as part of the contract, a penalty of $50,000 per day liquidated damages for failure to carryout the agreed works within the agreed timeframe.
Meticulous planning was implemented by our Production Manager Mick Bunting and his team led by Jay Fox and Wayne Clarkson. The asbestos wall cladding and roof were stripped and re-sheeted – Colorbond on the walls and Zinc Alum on the roof
Jay, Wayne and their team of 15 tradesman worked around the clock resulting in the building being handed back to PPC right on time. Production could now resume and at the same time Lidoran could continue with the smaller finishing details required.
Once again, Lidoran Roofing completed the project with minimal interruption to company production, resulting in a satisfied client!!
