Storms came to the Hunter Region Tannery a few weeks before Christmas, this was not the traditional white Christmas people look forward to. The asbestos roof on the old Tannery was damaged beyond allowable Workcover repair limits. Santa and his helpers came this year in the form of Lidoran Roofing. Lidoran sprang into action, organised asbestos removal, purlin and roof material replacement throughout the entire holiday period with a "leave it to us attitude", which allowed Tannery Management and the Consultants to get on with their responsibilities (and their holidays) without distractions. Production delays were kept to a minimum thanks to Lidoran. We are very happy with the re roof project Lidoran Roofing completed for us in October. There is a lot of satisfaction in not having an asbestos roof anymore and there is a distinct difference in the temperature of the factory. Before on a hot day the temperature would be the same inside as it was on the outside. A lot of the machinery is cast iron and retains the heat - sometimes first thing in the morning on a hot summers day, it would feel like a blast furnace. Now it is much cooler.

The skylights installed really lighten up the place and make the building appear to be bigger.
Lidoran staff worked efficiently and didn't interfere with our production - they were very compatible.
They made sure all our equipment was covered with sheeting so as to protect it from any dust and this was very impressive.

He fully explained the cause for the deterioration of the existing roof sheeting and outlined the best product for the job.

Your visit to our site Mick continued the high level of customer service as you outlined the materials, machinery and scope of the work required to complete the job also noting safety issues for your team as well as any safety issues that might need to be considered for our 430 students and staff. Your offer to complete the job over a weekend using the Friday for setup and delivery of materials assisted greatly in reducing the impact to our teaching and learning programs in the classroom and the lose of playground space to accommodate the stores.
